Norman Smith

“Service Through the Community”

Norman Smith joined the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office in 2007 as one of the first School Resource Deputies at Southwestern Community College. Norman began his law enforcement career in 1991 at Monroe Public Safety.  There he worked as a police officer, firefighter, investigator, and held positions as high as Sergeant. He came back to Western North Carolina to work closer to home.
