S.E.T.T.

“Service Through the Community”

The Sheriff’s Emergency Tactical Team (S.E.T.T.) was formed in 1995 by now current Sheriff Jimmy Ashe. It is similar to what is traditionally know as a Special Weapons and Tactics Team (S.W.A.T.). The team consists of between 9 and 12 team members compiled from the sworn personnel throughout the Sheriff’s Office. The team performs high risk search warrants, hostage rescues, high risk warrant service, and a variety of other special operation tasks.
